Four Favorite- iPad Apps for School

Last time I went into my favorite iPhone apps and all of the apps I talked about there can be used on the iPad, but in this post I wanted to focus on iPad only apps (or best used on an iPad apps), so here we go.  Make sure to check the App Store for current pricing.

Schoology (Free) As a school that uses Schoology as our LMS, their app has grown leaps and bounds in the last year.  Grading has become awesome with the notation tools and its integration with Google Drive is good to have.  You need to create your courses and much of the content on the website (for best results) but you can use the app for most things on a day to day basis.

iMovie ($4.99)- No app has changed my classroom more than this one.  While in the music classroom, I would record every version of student compositions and play them at the end of the project.  Students were able to see just how much they have grown in a few minutes.  The classroom applications are almost limitless from Book Reviews to Unit Trailers to slide shows, you can do almost anything.

Google Drive (Free)- It seems so obvious, but I use Google Drive all of the time.   The ability to save things to Google Drive from a shared iPad (like we have at my school), makes it a great app to have on student devices.

Notability($5.99)- Love this app.  I can write on PDFs, create documents, take handwritten notes and record my voice while I write.   It was also the app that made me realize that good apps are worth paying for.
